September 25, 2009, Friday:
Boracay is under the administrative control of the Philippine Tourism Authority in coordination with the Provincial Government of Aklan.
It has two primary tourism beaches, White Beach, the main tourism beach and Bulabog Beach, secondary tourism beach and Boracay’s main windsurfing and kiteboarding area. They are located on opposite sides of the island’s narrow central area. White Beach faces westward and Bulabog Beach faces eastward. The island also has several other beaches.
It was my first flight ever. I love to travel but in a bus, it was planned 2 months before the flight. We searched for cheap hotels and even beg for our friends referrals just to make this happen without banging our pockets.
September 25, 2009 – Our things were packed and we were really excited.
Cebu Pacific was our airline; we bought our tickets for PhP1,300 inclusive of taxes and web fee (It wasn’t cheap actually but we don’t care that time yet)
To release my tension we, no actually I borrowed Joemar’s camera, to have my first shot at the plane. The captain said it’ll be a 45minutes travel. As the plane starts to move, I was sincerely praying to have a safe flight and let us reach Boracay breathing.
We arrived in Kalibo Airport, It was raining, there was also a free 3 hour bus ride going to Caticlan. We reached Caticlan Jetty Port and paid for PhP50 for terminal fee, PhP75 for Environmental fee and PhP25 for boat fare, we’re heading Cagban Port in Boracay. When we reached Cagban, my friend Ann called our hotel service (I forgot the name of the lady who accompanied us). We rode a tricycle and paid for PhP120 for the 6 of us.
Our hotel was Giulius Bamboo Italian Resort, we paid PhP3,000/night for two rooms. I’m with Joemar and Ann, Jeylan and Nina in the other.
After putting our things in the room, we rushed at the beach and felt the warm water then hanged at the D’Mall.
We went back to the hotel, took a bath and rushed out back, to have a dinner at PhP65/meal.
When it comes to beer! We saw a cheap disco bar called BAMBOOZE. We had PhP149/bucket, we ordered 3buckets and paid it immediately coz their happy hour was from 9pm-11pm only. Good thing we arrived at 10:30pm (we were very lucky)
Until we got drunk, very drunk and…
Went to different disco bars just to dance dance dance!!! ahahaha! Take note disco bars from Cocomanga to Japones (which is now Summer Place) my friend!<3 And I will never forget the song of the day “Uno, Dos, Tres, Kwatro” coz any disco bar we go, we always hear it not just once but ten times!
September 26, 2009 Saturday:
Woke up very late, (may hangover).
We decided to take our breakfast at the hotel, because it was raining outside. The Filipino breakfast cost us PhP140/head.
After our heavy breakfast, we went back to our room and waited until the rain stops. But it was really boring so we went out even it was still raining outside.
Dark clouds! We supposed to have fun! but it became like this. But even the weather is bad, we still enjoyed beach and played skimboard
We had a lot of fun without knowing the it was past 3pm, we forgot to take our lunch. We went back to our hotel and took a shower.
We took our dinner inside D’ Talipapa, we bought some fresh meat and fish then requested to the restaurant to cook it the way we want. The total damage was PhP600.
When we reach our hotel, the receptionist told us that there was a typhoon hitting Manila. We turned on our TV and got panicked coz it was really tragic, I grab my mobile phone and called my mom, but there was no answer. I got online and message my sister who’s living in Laguna, she said they’re fine. Thank God my phone rang, I answered it and it was my mom, asking me to go home, I said “I’m in Boracay” she freaked out coz she didn’t know that I was in Bora (I was a bad daughter before). Flood level was on my mom’s knees, my brother was also there, helping them to carry our things upstairs.
September 27, 2009, Sunday
We had an island hopping, but since the beach was angry, we only had 3 islands, we paid PhP1,400 everything. We enjoyed snorkeling and fish feeding. I love the sand a lot, It was very fine and white and it will always be.
After the island hopping, at 2pm we took our lunch-dinner in Mang Inasal. It cost us PhP75/head with rice all you can! yeah!
At 4pm I said goodbye for a while coz I went to my brother-in-law’s cousin in San Jose, Antique to get my nephew’s PSP. They went to station 1 and took some pictures
And of course bought some souvenirs (pasalubongs) for our loved ones
September 28, 2009, Monday:
Kalibo to Manila airfare cost us another PhP1100 inclusive of everything,
It’s our flight going back to Manila and we have to get back to work. We just met at Kalibo airport. Our flight was 8:45am but before we said goodbye, we shopped for Galapong Suman for pasalubongs for the last minute.
We reached Manila at 9:30am and it was really a huge mess…
