Tagbilaran Airport or Paliparan ng Tagbilaran or in cebuano Tugpahanan sa Tagbilaran, is an airport serving the general area of Tagbilaran City, located in the province of Bohol in the Philippines.

I took a shot of Tagbilaran Airport with Ellein.

Our Day three in Bohol was very exciting. While waiting to Ederlinn and Roy we sat and sipped 1 can of beer each (Just to pass the boredom).

After two hours, they’re still not yet coming, I googled near tourist spots in BQ (Bohol Quality) Mall, and I found Tagbilaran National Museum, we went there by a tricycle and it cost us PhP7/each.

Tagbilaran National Museum offers an interesting insight into Bohol’s post and Pre-Spanish history. The Museum is well worth visiting. Among the exhibits are Boholano Art, Botanical, Zoological and Archeological materials and artifacts that have been unearthed from different parts of the island.

After our very informative trip, we combined a walk around Plaza Rizal (opposite museum) and Tagbilaran Cathederal.

I took a shot of a very lovely Church of Christ at local of Tagbilaran, I hope we can attend the worship service here, but unfortunately we’re about to go back to Manila the day after this.

Thank God they arrived… We started our landtrip at the monument of the blood compact or Sandugo in Tagbilaran City.

The Sandugo was a blood compact, performed between the Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna the chieftain of Bohol on March 16, 1565, to seal their friendship as part of the tribal tradition. This is considered as the first treaty of friendship between the Spaniards and Filipinos. “Sandugo” is a Visayan word which means “one blood”.

Then we take a look at Loboc River. We didn’t take a cruise because we can’t afford the PhP280/head buffet. And besides we don’t have enough time to travel.

But based on my research, the cruise along the river starts either from the Loay Bridge (in Loay) or at the Poblacion of Loboc. The Loay Bridge is 20 kilometers (12 mi) from Tagbilaran City while the Poblacion is about 25 kilometers (16 mi) away. And the floating restaurants can accommodate up to 50 people.

You can also take a dip in the waters and experience the heady feeling of a refreshing swim in the unpolluted waters of the Busay Falls.

But unfortunately, Bugoy or Roy’s car accidentally stopped working. We went to the nearest mechanic duty, while waiting for the car, Ellein and I walked by the Loboc highway and I took shots of the scenes on our way. Loboc Museum, a small museum attached to the church of Loboc.

After the 2km walk, we took a rest and lunch at Lily’s Carinderia for only PhP55/meal with softdrinks per head.

I was really amazed on the public toilet. It was really clean and to maintain it, they provide two slippers for anyone who’ll use it. People here are well disciplined.

In front of Carinderia is the Loboc Church. The Church of San Pedro in Loboc, the second oldest church in Bohol.

Then the car was fixed.
Who would forget to take pictures with tarsiers (the smallest primates) and flying lemur? We entered a public spot along our way going to Carmen. After taking pictures, I donated PhP50 for their food.

I will never ever forget the thrilled feeling when we pass through the Man-made Forrest. Felt like in the suspense and action movies of Hollywood. I really love this place.
It is a man-made tall mahogany trees densely planted and located in the border of Loboc and Bilar towns.

Then finally, who will miss the Chocolate Hills of Bohol?

Well I won’t! We stopped there and entered for free because we had a friend who can speak Bisaya. But to keep you updated entrance is PhP10/head.

We went upstairs to see them atop. Wow! Very lovely! I love my country so much. I am very lucky to see this on my own.

According to the latest accurate survey done, there are 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi). They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season that’s why it was called Chocolate Hills.

After that long trip we continue our trip going to Ederlinn and Roy’s house in Nueva Esperanza, Bien Unido a Spanish word for “well united”.
We spent the night here. Then 7 o’ clock in the morning we were set to go back in Tagbilaran for our flight going to Manila at 1:55pm. We rode a habal habal (motorcycle) at 25/head going to Talibon. Then we had a very wrong idea of riding a bus (nagtitipid kase!) for 80/head. The bus arrived at 9am! It was a public vehicle, so you’ll expect ventors and residences attaching their packages (tons of pots, groceries and ect.). But thanks a lot for the t-shirt I bought at Chocolate Hills at PhP130 it helped us a lot to track our limited time.

Next time, I’ll make sure to visit E.A.T Danao! 3days isn’t enough for me to tour this island :)
